The CEO’s Watch: Jean-Marc Jacot of Parmigiani Fleurier

Knockoff Watches Wholesale recently caught up with Jean-Marc Jacot, CEO of Parmigiani Fleurier, in Miami to discover the brand’s first North-American boutique. While the conversation centered squarely on Parmigiani Fleurier’s entry in such an important market, we couldn’t help but notice the watch on Jacot’s wrist, so we took a few minutes at the end of the interview talk about with its creator.

Tell us about the watch you are wearing today:

Today I’m wearing the Tonda Hémisphères. It is the first watch on the market that displays hours and minutes in two different time zones, through two distinct sub dials. Parmigiani Fleurier introduced the Tonda Hémisphères in 2008. Since most watches display two different hour hands, we wanted to introduce a watch with a dual time zone function. Why does that matter? Well, countries such as Venezuela and India have several time zones that are not divided by increments of 60 minutes. Some places in the world have clocks that are offset by 15 or 45 minutes. So dual time watches that only display the hour hands cannot truly tell the time in every time zone in the world. That’s why I like to be wearing the Tonda Hémisphères when I’m traveling. And that means I’m wearing it a lot these days.
