Officine Panerai Launches a Special Edition Luminor 1950 Sealand for Kuwait

Officine Panerai pays tribute to long-term Kuwait partner and distributor Ali Morad Behbehani with a new Special Edition LUMINOR 1950 SEALAND 3 DAYS AUTOMATIC ACCIAIO – 44mm. The Behbehani family is a name well known to watch aficionados in Kuwait and throughout the Gulf.

Launched on April 20th at the Panerai boutique in Kuwait where it will be sold exclusively, this new edition, limited to 35 units, is personalised with a beautifully hand-engraved cover for the dial featuring a falcon in the desert. Once used for hunting, with acute vision over several kilometres and flying speeds at well over 100 km per hour, the falcon is a symbol in the Arab world that symbolizes perspicacity, courage, strength and immortality

Finely engraved, robust and masculine, the 44mm Luminor case of this Special Edition is made of brushed steel, and features the patented iconic device that protects the crown. The gold calf strap with BA brushed steel buckle adds to the overall sturdy appearance of this work of art for the wrist that is water resistant to 100 meters.

When we open the decorated cover, we see a polished steel bezel encircling a large grey dial with centered luminous hour and minute hands, date at 3 o’clock and seconds at 9 o’clock. Black indices and large Arabic numbers of 12 and 6 are surrounded by luminous dot markers for easy reading at night. For additional visual pleasure, the inside of the lid has a polished mirror effect that reflects the clean, bold design of the watch’s face.

Powered by the automatic mechanical Panerai P 9000 calibre that is entirely designed and crafted by the Panerai manufacture in Neuchâtel, this limited edition timepiece is sure to please connoisseurs and collectors. The watch is part of a series of Special Editions created by Officine Panerai for clients of Panerai boutiques throughout the world.
