Jacob Co. has once again redefined high horology with the latest evolution of The World Is Yours Dual Time Zone, now featuring a captivating tourbillon. This timepiece embodies a blend of technical mastery and deep emotional significance, paying homage to founder Jacob Arabo’s first watch, a dual-time zone piece gifted by his father. The new iteration—The World Is Yours Dual Timezone Tourbillon—introduces a central tourbillon that rotates every 30 seconds, doubling the traditional speed and demonstrating Jacob Co.’s innovative expertise.

The 43-mm case remains consistent with its predecessor, crafted from exquisite 18K rose gold. The dial features an intricately engraved, blued titanium world map, overlaid with a signature compass rose that represents both precision and exploration. Unlike previous versions, this model introduces a sapphire bridge supporting the tourbillon, creating an illusion of a floating mechanism. This visually striking feature reinforces the brand’s reputation for horological artistry.

A personal touch defines the collection. The World Is Yours series is inspired by a gift Arabo received from his father at the age of 13, a watch that symbolized boundless opportunity. The new Dual Time Zone Tourbillon extends this narrative, encapsulating themes of legacy, ambition, and technical achievement. The timepiece honors Jacob Co.’s journey since its first watch launch in 2002, showcasing an evolution that mirrors the brand’s relentless pursuit of perfection.

The latest model continues to offer independently adjustable dual time zones, each settable to the exact minute. This feature makes it particularly useful for those tracking time in regions with non-standard offsets, such as India (UTC +5:30) or Newfoundland (UTC -3:30). Unlike standard GMT watches, The World Is Yours Dual Time Zone Tourbillon ensures precision across all time zones, reinforcing its practical luxury appeal.

Beneath its elegant exterior, the watch houses an entirely new movement, the JCAA45 caliber, specifically designed for this edition. The off-centered micro-rotor, crafted from solid 950 platinum, efficiently powers the movement while minimizing height. Placing the rotor at the center posed unique engineering challenges, yet Jacob Co. successfully integrated this feature, ensuring an optimal blend of form and function.

Visually, the timepiece exudes sophistication. The Atlantic Ocean dominates the dial, flanked by continents meticulously engraved and finished in rose gold. The detailed craftsmanship extends to the caseback, where the remaining regions of the world are printed in gold over blue sapphire glass. Every aspect of the watch reflects Jacob Co.’s commitment to artistic excellence.

The watch’s curved profile adds to its ergonomic appeal. Measuring 18.1 mm at the center and 10.4 mm at the edges, the domed shape enhances its presence on the wrist. This unique curvature results from the movement’s architecture, further distinguishing it from traditional flat-case designs. Without a bezel, the dial appears more immersive, drawing attention to the intricate detailing and dynamic tourbillon at its core.

Functionality remains a key focus. At 12 o’clock, a sub-dial with Roman numerals displays the first time zone, while the 6 o’clock sub-dial, featuring Arabic numerals, shows the second. With a three-position crown, wearers can independently set each zone, ensuring unparalleled flexibility. This system caters to world travelers and business professionals who need precise timekeeping across multiple locations.

The technical prowess behind The World Is Yours Dual Time Zone Tourbillon is remarkable. The tourbillon’s rapid 30-second rotation enhances accuracy by averaging out positional errors more efficiently than standard one-minute mechanisms. Meanwhile, the sapphire bridge allows light to pass through, creating a mesmerizing floating effect. These intricate details reinforce Jacob Co.’s reputation for pushing horological boundaries.

Completing the design is a luxurious blue alligator leather strap, secured with an 18K rose gold deployment buckle. This refined finishing touch complements the watch’s regal aesthetic, making it as comfortable as it is striking. Limited to just 199 pieces, this exclusive timepiece is a collector’s dream, blending innovation, craftsmanship, and personal significance into one extraordinary creation.
