Hublot Introduces Colored Ceramic Spirit of Big Bang Tourbillon 5-Day Power Reserve in Four Bold Limited Editions

Hublot continues to redefine the limits of innovation in fine watchmaking with the introduction of colored ceramic to its acclaimed Spirit of Big Bang Tourbillon 5-Day Power Reserve. Unveiled in Nyon, Switzerland, the collection brings bold new hues — red, yellow, sky blue, and black — to one of the brand’s most distinctive timepieces, marking a vibrant evolution of the Spirit of Big Bang’s legacy.

For the first time, Hublot’s advanced ceramic expertise meets the tonneau-shaped design of the Spirit of Big Bang Tourbillon, resulting in a striking visual transformation. Each new 42mm model embodies the perfect fusion of innovation and craftsmanship, paying homage to Hublot’s philosophy of being first, different, and unique. Limited to only 20 pieces per color, the release exemplifies the brand’s commitment to exclusivity and technical mastery.

Originally launched in 2014, the Spirit of Big Bang has become a favorite among collectors for its structured, open-worked architecture and instantly recognizable design language. The new editions continue that tradition while elevating it through vibrant ceramic cases, matching bezels, and dials that give each watch a strong and distinctive character. Each piece is powered by the HUB6020 manual-winding tourbillon movement, developed in-house exclusively for the Spirit of Big Bang’s curved tonneau case.

Visible through the skeletonized dial, the tourbillon at six o’clock performs a full rotation every minute, counteracting the effects of gravity to ensure precision. At three o’clock, an off-center hour and minute sub-dial balances the composition, while a power reserve indicator at eight o’clock highlights the movement’s impressive five-day autonomy — one of the longest reserves in its category. The architecture of the movement is designed for transparency, with every bridge, plate, and gear train meticulously skeletonized to the edge of its mechanical limits, revealing the artistry of high horology.

Each watch comes fitted with Hublot’s One Click interchangeable strap system, offering versatility and personalization. Collectors can choose between rubber and Velcro straps, and for the first time in Hublot’s history, every new owner will receive a customization experience allowing them to select additional bezels and bracelets from a curated range of twenty variants in carbon, ceramic, or even stone-set finishes. This marks a new era for Hublot, giving collectors the ability to tailor their timepiece to their personal style.

“Hublot’s Spirit of Big Bang Tourbillon 5-Day Power Reserve holds a special place among our collectors,” said Julien Tornare, CEO of Hublot. “The tonneau format requires a deeper appreciation of watchmaking, and by introducing colored ceramic, we’ve elevated it to a new level. It’s a highly demanding technology — one that only Hublot has mastered in such a wide range of tones. Combined with our five-day power reserve tourbillon, these new editions are more distinctive and daring than ever.”

Each colored ceramic edition — Red Magic, Yellow Magic, Sky Blue Ceramic, and Black Magic — is priced at $104,000 USD, while the Black Sapphire variant, featuring a fully transparent case, is offered at $161,000 USD. All models are limited to 20 pieces, making them exceptionally rare additions to any haute horlogerie collection.
