Glashütte Original Update Vintage-Inspired Seventies Panorama Date

Luxury watchmaker Glashütte Original is updating the look of its Seventies Panorama Date. Following its debut at Baselworld 2011, the Seventies Panorama Date – which is part of Glashütte Original’s 20th Century Vintage collection – now has a new look.

When the Seventies Panorama Date first appeared, it was fitted with a hand-crafted four-link steel bracelet, channelling the 1970s. The German manufacture has now unveiled additional bracelets; a Louisiana Alligator leather strap in black, dark blue or grey; and a black rubber strap enhanced with elaborate laser engraving.

The steel case houses a German silver dial, which is presented in galvanized ruthenium, galvanized silver, or blue. The ruthenium dial presents a sunburst surface, while the silver version is matt. The blue dial features finely graded shading passing from a lighter centre to a darker periphery.
