European Exclusive: A Rare Look at Hublot’s Oceanographic 4000 Jeans Model

Today we’re taking a peek at a model rarely seen outside Europe – a trendy take on luxury watchmaker Hublot’s iconic Oceanographic 4000 watch. Developed by Carlo Cerlati and Tina Zegg, two leading figures in the Swiss watchmaking industry, the Oceanographic 4000 Jeans has (as its name indicates) a chic denim look. At the moment, the Oceanographic 4000 Jeans model is only available at Zegg Cerlati boutiques, at Place du Casino in Monte Carlo, Ischgl in Austria and at Samnaun, in Switzerland. The dials and straps are made by Italian denim manufacturer Dsquared.

The Haute Minute

Today we're taking a peek at a model rarely seen outside Europe - a trendy take on luxury watchmaker Hublot's iconic Oceanographic 4000 watch.

The launch of this collection took place yesterday, February 18, at the Wellness Hotel Chasa Montana in Samnaun in the heart of the Swiss Alps, and was attended by the German Double Olympic and World skiing champion, Maria Höfl-Riesch, a Hublot ambassador since 2011. She was joined by Jean-Claude Biver, Chairman of Hublot, as well as Tina Zegg and Carlo Cerlati. Only twenty-one numbered pieces have been produced. However, sources indicate that Hublot may expand the collection for the international market.

The Oceanographic 4000 model was originally developed to push the limits of what was possible from a diver’s watch; it took 18 months of research, development and testing to create this watch, which works up to 4,000 metres below sea level.
