With Deepest Respect: Breguet Classique Dame

The new Classique Dame ladies watch, unveiled by Breguet at this year’s Baselworld fair, was produced ​​in accordance with the brand’s strict classical canon. Which means that this timepiece is conservative, formidable and expensive.

It is hard to find something that adheres to the principles of respectful and thoughtful treatment of the wearer so uniquely. Which makes this model all the more rare, and makes the Classique Dame the perfect choice for special days and black tie receptions, in our opinion.

The Breguet Classique Dame is available in either white gold or, as pictured here, rose gold, with a fluted caseband with a coin edge design. The bezel and lugs are set with diamonds. The dial features a silvered gold plate with a “Clous de Paris” hobnail motif, guillochéd Roman numeral hour markers, and open-tipped Breguet hands fashioned from blued steel. The Classique Dame is quite small and sits perfectly on the wrist, with a case that measures 33.5mm in diameter, and a height of 6.95mm.

The heart of this watch is a mechanical movement with a silicon balance spring. The Breguet Cal. 591A is adjusted in six positions and has a power reserve of 38 hours. This is one of the thinnest automatic calibers, and boasts a date indicator and seconds hand.
