Felix the Good Luck Cat
Cats, as any owner knows, do not smile; they knead their paws—an action affectionately dubbed “making biscuits”—when they feel happy. It is little wonder, then, that humans are so charmed by smiling fictional felines like the Cheshire Cat and Felix.
In the newest Bremont Altitude MB Meteor ‘Felix the Cat’, Felix appears brimming with irrepressible glee as he absconds with the numeral ‘6’. Unlike many cartoon collaborations, Felix the Cat has genuine aviation heritage. He has been associated with U.S. Navy squadrons since the 1920s, most notably VF-3 “Tomcatters”, and remains a symbol of fearlessness tempered by humor in naval aviation lore.
Here, in a 42mm DLC-coated titanium case, Felix mischievously makes off with the ‘6’ as a playful nod to the military phrase “watch your six”—a reminder to remain alert to threats from behind. Classic Bremont-style sword hands sweep over said cat burglar, a date window, and a brushed dial with yellow indices.
Historical Flourishes
This stealth-black iteration of the MB retains the collection’s signature features, including the seconds hand styled after an aircraft ejection pull-handle and the knurled central barrel construction with matching crowns.
While Bremont refreshed the MB line in 2025, refining proportions and details, endearing calling cards such as the 4 o’clock crown that actuates the bi-directional inner bezel have been thoughtfully retained.
Stealth Movement
Felix’s infectious grin reappears on the sapphire caseback, hovering above the gunmetal-gray Côtes de Genève finishing of the BB14-AH movement. Based on a La Joux-Perret caliber, it packs 68 hours of autonomy. In keeping with the MB’s aviation brief, the movement is mounted within a flexible rubberized anti-shock system and protected by soft-iron shielding against magnetic fields.
The Bremont Altitude MB Meteor ‘Felix the Cat’ paired with a matching lightweight DLC titanium bracelet is priced at US$6,850, and goes for US$6,450 on a textured black leather strap that matches the case’s knurled surfaces. Limited to 500 pieces, it emits a vivid blue lume when darkness falls—transforming its playful façade into something altogether more mission-ready.
