The Breguet Boutique on Rodeo Drive is welcoming back four historic pocket watches from the 18th and 19th centuries previsouly showcased in the J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles.


The Breguet Boutique on Rodeo Drive is welcoming back four historic pocket watches from the 18th and 19th centuries previsouly showcased in the J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles. All four watches were sold in the 1800s, with three of them being designed in the late 1700s. They are all from the Breguet Museum in Paris, which host more than 100 historical timepieces and items related to the of the House of Breguet.Unique in style and movement, the four pocket watches feature:

The Breguet 988 Souscription, which has a calibre with center going barrel, pare-chute suspension, overhanging ruby cylinder escapement and bimetallic thermal compensation curve on the index. You could buy this in 1803 for 692 Francs. The Breguet 155 Montre Simple, offering an enamel dial, gold case and lever escapement and made it’s debut on July 27, 1812 for 1500 Francs. The Breguet 2638 Montre Simple, featuring an enamel dial, gold case and ruby cylinder escapement and was available October 1, 1826 for 1000 francs and the Breguet 4755 Montre Simple, a plain small watch with an enamel dial, gold case and ruby cylinder escapement and was the last of the watches to debut October 3, 1829 for 1400 francs.
