Watch Brands Get Exposure On The Oscars Red Carpet

On the Oscars red carpet it’s the women who standout with their lavish gowns and sparking jewels and accessories. However, watch brands are seeing the significance in having men serve as models for their high-quality timepieces. This year, male celebrities walked the red carpet in watches from Montblanc, IWC Jaeger-LeCoultre, Bulgari and Piaget, among others.

Montblanc is in a unique position for this type of exposure as the masculine brand also makes cufflinks, tuxedo pins and even belts for this type of formal occasion. For the other brands, their heritage in watchmaking is more than enough to attract both celebrities and media exposure.

The stars that chose luxury watches to accessorize their tuxedos include the following:

Jordan Peele, who accepted the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay, wore the Star Classique Date Automatic watch paired with the Tribute to Shakespeare cuff links by Montblanc.

Best Actor Nominee, Daniel Kaluuya, wore the IWC Ingenieur Chronographand further accessorized his wardrobe with Montblanc onyx and rose gold tuxedo studs and cufflinks.

Best Actor nominee, Timothée Chalamet, chose to wear the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Duoface watch in pink gold. This watch also features a two-tone cordovan leather strap crafted by celebrated Argentinean boot makers, Casa Fagliano.

Best Supporting Actor nominee, Richard Jenkins, chose to wear the hand-wound Portofino Eight Day watch.

Presenter Armie Hammer wore the Heritage Spirit Pulsograph Limited Edition watch paired with the Hartford cuff links and mother of pearl and rose gold tuxedo studs by Montblanc.

Presenter Matthew McConaughey wore the Bulgari Octo Roma watch with 41mm steel case, lacquered black dial and steel bracelet, and steel bracelet with Bulgari white gold and square-cut diamond cuff links.

Andy Serkis wore the Heritage Spirit Date Automatic watch paired with the Essential Sartoria’ cuff links and onyx and silver tuxedo studs by Montblanc.

Presenter Tom Holland wore the Piaget Altiplano Skeleton in a 38 mm white gold case. This ultra-thin automatic watch powered by Caliber 1200S. Meanwhile, presenter Oscar Isaac chose to wear the Piaget Polo S.

Caleb Landry Jones wore the IWC Portofino Chronograph in stainless steel on the red carpet, while Garret Hedlund, wore the Portugieser Automatic.
