Colored Stones
From the Temptations Collection, Chopard presents a firework of colors between green and turquoise tourmalines, kunzites, garnets, pink sapphires diamonds and rubies, set on golden threads until they reach a large pear shape mauve amethyst. Vibrant colors of brilliant-cut stones set almost randomly to mismatch the symmetrical and rigid aspect of the earrings mounted on white gold.
Incredible and marvelous are words that often describe Victoire de Castellane’s astounding jewelry work at Dior. And now they have christened the brand’s latest collection: “Incroyables” et “Merveilleux” so-to-speak. The colored fruit earrings are set on yellow gold with two large drop morganites set among a variety of colored stones. Purple and pink sapphires navigating between emeralds and tsavorite garnets shape the upper and lower details of the pair almost as if ivy leaves were wrapping around the core body of the earrings.
Evergreen Loops
There is nothing harder than doing things simply, but Alexandre Reza and de Grisogono seem to have mastered minimalism. The Farandole earrings of the Parisian jeweler – now established in the U.S. – mix brilliant-cut diamonds assembled three by three, with flutted Zambian emeralds cut as flowers and set with a diamond pistil for delicate and feminine pieces of jewelry.
The fully paved emerald loops by de Grisogono sticks more to the DNA of the jeweler from Geneva, where the three rows of loops made of oval cut emeralds seem to float in the air although there are subtly attached to a central emerald to be clipped on the earlobe.
Dancing Triangles
Add a central pear-shape emerald to an emerald-shaped dome, a diamond ribbon and a tassel of blue sapphires beads, and what do you get: A stunning high jewelry piece from Piaget. Now multiply that by two and you get the “Extremely,” beautiful pair of earrings from the same brand.
de Grisogono presents a mismatching pair of white gold earrings swinging like diamond dresses, dancing dizzyingly in the air. A dress made of rose-cut blue sapphires made in exact symmetry to another made of rose-cut diamonds and paved with diamonds.
These six pairs of high jewelry earrings will match six different styles for a full week of decadent fun, leaving just one night for sleeping beauties to rest.
