On June 24, TAG Heuer joined a selection of some of the NBA’s greatest players and soccer all-stars for the Steve Nash Foundation Showdown, a unique pick-up soccer match in New York City’s Sara D. Roosevelt Park.

The Haute Minute

NBA legend Steve Nash and TAG Heuer helped unite the worlds of soccer, basketball, luxury watches and charity at the Steve Nash Foundation Showdown in NYC.

The Steve Nash Foundation Showdown is a unique charity soccer match led by eight-time NBA All-Star and two-time league MVP Steve Nash that raises funds for critical needs services for kids. The event brought out a full spectrum of all-time greats from both professional soccer and basketball, including Alessandro Del Piero, Luol Deng, Matthew Dellavedova, Chris Mullin, Giuseppe Rossi and many more.

Jean-Claude Biver, CEO of TAG Heuer and President of LVMH Watches, believes the Steve Nash Foundation and the Steve Nash Foundation Showdown epitomize the standards and values of the brand, stating “Steve Nash is a true sports legend, and the spirit and determination that brought him that title truly exude TAG Heuer’s DNA and #DontCrackUnderPressure mentality. “

After the match, TAG Heuer’s iconic sports watch, the Aquaracer was awarded to a handful of players that embody the brand’s #DontCrackUnderPressure mentality. Soccer legend Alessandro del Piero received the Spirit of Showdown Award, while the Most Valuable Player Award was given to John Nash, Steve Nash’s father. Steve Nash also received his own Aquaracer after the event.
