Introducing The Breguet B Crazy Haute Joaillerie Watch For Ladies

Breguet did what it does best and kept it traditional at Baselworld with the release of the Tradition Automatique Seconde Rétrograde 7097. But it also showed its wild side with the addition of a new flower to a growing bouquet of high jewelery pieces.

The $1.8 million “B” Crazy Haute Joaillerie watch is truly a sight to behold with it’s 33mm x 24.95mm 18 carat white gold case; bedecked with more than 1000 iridescent baguette-cut diamonds, which can be seen curling over the wearers wrist with ornate ease. The latest watch to bloom out of the Breguet collection, it follows the ‘Crazy Flower’ and ‘Petite Flower’ which expertly exercised the combination of high jewellery and high horology. Once again the diamonds are set on mobile petals that seem to sway in the wind. At the centre of the timepiece, the dial features a radial paving of 133 baguette-cut diamonds and signature open tipped blued steel hour and minute hands.

The timepiece is crafted with the characteristics of Breguet in mind, making use of the brand’s in-house Calibre 586, an automatic movement constructed with a balance on a silicon spring oscillating at 3Hz. The “B” Crazy’s 29 jeweled movement sports a modest 40 hour power reserve, an in-line Swiss lever escapement, and a stunning engine-turned platinum rotor that is fashionably showcased under traditional sapphire crystal.

The watch comes with an 18 carat paved white gold bracelet, adorned with more than 200 baguette-cut diamonds that create an unapologetic 3-dimensional attraction. A true blossom of provocative engineering and jewel setting, plucked from Breguet’s bejewelled mechanised garden. In short, it is a stunning timepiece worth its weight in composition, carats and creativity.
