The Speedmaster Professional Apollo 11 45th Anniversary Limited Edition timepiece is powered by a Caliber Omega 1861 manual-winding chronograph movement, the same famous movement used in the actual timepiece that was worn on the moon in 1969. The Anniversary piece features a chronograph, small seconds and tachymeter.
The case is 42mm and crafted in titanium and features an 18k Sedna Gold bezel, hands and indexes. The laser-engraved dial is black PVD and boasts a wonderful design element creating by a special laser which removes the material on the dial surrounding the name, sub-dial numerals and hour markers to create a wonderful effect on the dial. The Speedmaster Professional Apollo 11 Anniversary Edition is fitted with a brown coated nylon fabric strap which is Nato inspired. The timepiece is water-resistant to 50 meters.
The Omega Speedmaster Professional Apollo 11 45th Anniversary Limited Edition timepiece is part of a Limited Collection of 1,969 timepieces produced by Omega and will be available starting June 2014.
