Occupy Swatch Movement

Swatch has just unveiled their latest creation – a watch for the global Occupy protest movement. Displaying the word “occupy” on it during the companies news conference in Geneva on Thursday, Nick Hayek – chief executive officer of Swatch Group AG, and the rest of the Swiss company’s executive management board all wore the bright green Swatch watch carrying the words Occupy daubed along the strap in vibrant orange.

On the watch face is the instruction: “your wrist.”

When Mr. Hayek was asked if he supported the movement which has carried out protests against economic inequality in Wall Street and other financial centers across the world, Mr. Hayek said the watches were in keeping with Swatch’s long term view of doing business.
