Knockoff Watches Wholesale Live From SIHH 2014: Recapping Day 1

Knockoff Watches Wholesale is live from Geneva, Switzerland, where the watch world has gathered for the 2014 Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie. The show got off to an incredible start yesterday, and we’re bringing you a recap of with exclusive photos of our favorite unveilings.

The Haute Minute

Exclusive photos of our favorite unveilings from Day 1, with pieces by Roger Dubuis, Cartier and more...

Cartier Métiers d’Art

This collection is always full of surprises and delights. This year it is a first in Métiers watchmaking: floral marquetry. The roses used are dried, injected with a liquid to color and preserve them, then cut out and placed, marquetry style on the dial. This one depicts a parrot. Also worth mentioning is the new Panthère. Like the one introduced last year, the watch features an inverse movement with the rotor on the dial side, shaped like a panther and set with gems.

Roger Dubuis Hommage Double Flying Tourbillon

This piece features a hand-guillochéd dial plate, with the caliber RD100 offering a 50-hour power reserve. The watch takes 1,200 hours to manufacture.

Ralph Lauren Black Safari Flying Tourbillon

A piece in blackened steel, with a Fabrique du Temps movement made exclusively for Ralph Lauren, with brown elm burl out outer dial, held by four screws. The black alligator strap was tumbled with cherry pits to make it smooth.

Baume Mercier Clifton Flying Tourbillon

Inspired by a pocket watch created by the brand in 1892, which won first prize that year at the Kew Observatory Chronometer competition for accuracy. It received the highest score in the history of the competition. The movement for the new wristwatch version was created by Val Fleurier.

Stay tuned to Knockoff Watches Wholesale for daily recaps from SIHH 2014 and in-depth looks at each of these new timepieces in the weeks to come!
