Jay Z Hosts World Preview of Shawn Carter Watches by Hublot in Switzerland

This weekend Jay Z joined Hublot CEO Ricardo Guadalupe for an intimate brunch at the Dolder Grand Hotel in Zurich, Switzerland. The music mogul hosted a special World Preview of the Shawn Carter Watches by Hublot before his concert at the Hallenstadion (part of the Magna Carta Tour).

Select clients and journalists got a sneak peek at the Shawn Carter Classic Fusion in advance of the official unveiling, which will take place at Barneys New York on November 20. Available in black ceramic and 18K yellow gold versions, the limited edition timepiece is part of the Shawn Carter Collection, a selection of luxury items curated by Jay Z for Barneys’ “A New York Holiday”. Twenty five percent of proceeds from the Barneys project will go toward the Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation, Jay Z’s New York-based charity, which awards post-secondary scholarships to students facing socio-economic hardships.

At the event, Jay Z said, “With this project, Barneys New York, the participating labels and I were able to take the sleekness, energy, and innovation and translate that into quality timeless pieces. Everything that encompasses a ‘New York holiday’ – the items chosen and the amazing designers that participated – represents a perfect example of a unique and groundbreaking collaboration that I hope demonstrates how inspiring New York has been to me.”

The Shawn Carter Collection will be available exclusively at Barneys New York from November 20 to January 3, and at select Hublot boutiques around the world beginning November 20th.
