Luxury automobile company Pagani have unveiled what Horacio Pagani and his team dub the “evolution” of their brand, the Zonda Revolucion. Pagani Automobili, which is based in San Cesario sul Panaro, Italy, unveiled the Zonda Revolucion during Vanishing Point 2013, an international Pagani gathering.

The central monocoque of the Pagani Zonda Revolucion is carbon-titanium, so it weighs in at just 1070kg. Inside is a 6.0-liter V12 AMG Mercedes engine. This model boasts 800 hp, 730 Nm of torque, and a 6-speed magnesium transversal, sequential gearbox that changes gears in 20ms. The traction control, which was developed by Bosch, features 12 different settings and a renewed ABS system.

Meanwhile, the body of the Zonda Revolucion features aerodynamic innovations including new deflectors on the front bonnet, a vertical stabilizer mounted on the rear bonnet and a DRS (Drag-Reduction-System) on the rear wing. Two different operating modes can be activated by the driver; the manual system is controlled with the DRS button on the steering wheel. Holding down the DRS for more than two seconds engages the DRS to follow optimal algorithms developed by the Pagani Automobili engineers.

A Brembo braking system features cutting edge CCMR discs borrowed from the world of F1 which reduce weight by 15% compared to the previous CCM discs and offer higher stiffness and lower operating temperatures on extreme track use. This contributes to the life of the disc which is increased by four times, with no sign of fading and a significant overall increase in braking power.

The Pagani Zonda Revolucion will retail for €2.2 million (approximately US$2,879,360) plus taxes.
