John Travolta Helps Breitling Open New Boutique in Orlando

Last week luxury watchmakers Breitling opened a new boutique with the help of a very famous friend! The award-winning actor and pilot John Travolta helped the brand unveil their new store in Orlando, Florida, with an event at The Mall at Millenia. Travolta and Thierry Prissert, the president of Breitling USA, welcomed more than 300 VIP guests, while hundreds of fans eager to get a glimpse of the legendary actor gathered outside the store.

Travolta, who has been an ambassador for Breitling since 2005, said; “There’s a synergy between the values a pilot holds dear and those which Breitling continues to champion. My passion for aviation parallels Breitling’s dedication to professional-quality instruments, and I think this mutual enthusiasm is one that pilots around the world both understand and appreciate.”

Indeed, the presence of Breitling’s CAP 232 airplane, on display in the Grand Court of the Mall, further demonstrated the tie between the Swiss manufacture and the world of aviation. Guests had the chance to pose with the aerobatic plane during the cocktail party at the 500 square-foot boutique, where Travolta mingled amidst the Breitling timepieces on display. Travolta, who has more than 7,000 flight hours to his credit, is certified on ten types of aircraft, including the Boeing 747-400 Jumbo Jet. With a residence in Ocala (that boasts its own private runway), the actor was a perfect fit for the boutique opening.

“Florida is a very important market for Breitling,” said Prissert, who began the evening with a short speech about the history of the Swiss brand. “Our new presence in Orlando will be an integral part of our global network of boutiques, and having Mr. Travolta here to launch this new location with us was quite an honor.”
