Vacheron Constantin Celebrate New Boutique on Historic Rue de la Paix in Paris

Luxury watchmakers Vacheron Constantin have officially opened a boutique in one of the world’s most stylish cities – Paris. The Rue de la Paix boutique, which is the brand’s 35th, will house all of the Geneva, Switzerland-based manufacture’s collections, as well as a vintage collection named “Vacheron Constantin les Collectioneurs”.

The Haute Minute

Luxury watchmakers Vacheron Constantin have officially opened a boutique in one of the world's most stylish cities - Paris.

This intimate new space (the boutique covers 85m2) is the height of elegance, featuring materials like wood, bronze and leather, as well as unique pieces created by the city’s master artisans. Highlights include the rock crystal “Saturn” chandelier created by antique lighting specialist Mathieu Lustrerie, and the incredible mosaic created by artist Pierre Mesguich, comprising 35,000 tiny marble tiles. Meanwhile, les Métalliers Champenois, the team behind the restoration of the Statue of Liberty, tailor-made wrought iron decorative elements throughout the boutique.

This beautiful new boutique is located on one of the most historically significant streets in Paris. Once the location of the Capucines Convent, the Rue de la Paix connects the Opéra Garnier to the Place Vendôme, bringing together art and luxury. For Vacheron Constantin, the location is a fitting celebration of the manufacture’s ties to France, which date back to 1810, when Barthélémy Girod, uncle and associate of Jacques-Barthélemy Vacheron, moved to Paris to expand the brand’s international presence. The brand was eventually awarded the “Diplôme du Prestige de la France” for its asymmetrical 1972 watch.

In a nod to that history, Vacheron Constantin unveiled the 1972 Prestige timepiece to celebrate the new boutique, embellished with the Prestige de la France engraving seen on the caseback of the original.

The new Vacheron Constantin boutique is located at 2 rue de la Paix, Paris 2ème, France. For more information, call 01 40 20 17 55 or visit their website. Photos courtesy Vacheron Constantin.
