On the heels of H. Moser Cie.’s announcement of its foray into Formula 1 in March, the brand made quite a splash this past weekend during the 2024 Miami Grand Prix.

The Haute Minute

On the heels of H. Moser Cie.'s announcement of its foray into Formula 1 in March, the brand made a splash during the 2024 Miami Grand Prix.

In an exciting follow-up to its initial Streamliner Cylindrical Tourbillon Skeleton Alpine Limited Edition model, H. Moser Cie. introduced a second version dressed in pink, just in time for the 2024 Miami F1. Unlike the dominant blue color of the previous model, this new Streamliner Cylindrical Tourbillon Skeleton Alpine Limited Edition — limited to just 20 models — sports the iconic pink livery in tribute to the traditional second livery of the BWT Alpine F1 Team’s single-seater.

BWT Alpine F1 Team’s A524 will compete in two liveries for the 2024 season, both featuring a striking black core and inspired by contemporary artist Felipe Pantone. The primary livery, used in 16 races, combines Alpine’s traditional blue with black. BWT, in its third year as the team’s title partner, is recognized worldwide for its signature pink colors. This season, the A524 will feature a predominantly pink livery at eight races, highlighting the team’s strong partnership with BWT.

Naturally, H. Moser Cie. decided to create a pink version of the Streamliner Cylindrical Tourbillon Skeleton Alpine Limited Edition, matching the distinctive colors of the BWT Alpine F1 Team. While the first 100-piece series featured blue accents, this second edition stands out with vibrant pink details. At 12 o’clock, the skeletonized main dial is crowned with a small domed synthetic corundum dial in BWT’s signature pink. The use of synthetic corundum, or ruby, lends a distinctive clarity and intensity to the dial, despite the challenges posed by the material’s extreme hardness.

Exuding timeless elegance, the watch is devoid of any logo, emphasizing aesthetic purity and exclusivity. The indices feature Super-Luminova®, while Globolight® inserts above the blued hour and minute hands ensure optimal legibility, even at night. Completing the sophisticated design, the watch is fitted with a pink molded rubber strap, replicating the texture of a textile strap for maximum comfort.

Inside, the fully skeletonized automatic HMC 811 caliber is visible from both the front and reverse sides, revealing a large, openworked gold rotor oscillating effortlessly. The beauty of this movement is further accentuated by the one-minute flying tourbillon, fitted with a blue cage bridge matching the hands, and a cylindrical balance spring that rotates at 6 o’clock. Crafted by H. Moser Cie.’s sister company, Precision Engineering AG, the cylindrical balance spring requires expert craftsmanship and ten times as long to produce as a traditional balance spring.

Water-resistant to 12 ATM and designed with a sleek, compact profile, this exclusive timepiece effortlessly combines traditional horological expertise with an ultra-modern aesthetic. Alongside the 20 limited-edition pieces available online, H. Moser Cie. will create a unique additional piece for a charity auction, with proceeds going to AQUA PEARLS, a non-profit foundation established by BWT to improve global access to clean drinking water.

H. Moser Cie.’s Streamliner Cylindrical Tourbillon Skeleton Alpine Limited Edition Pink Livery is a testament to the brand’s distinctive approach to Haute Horlogerie, blending cutting-edge technology with bold design and a pop of pink sophistication.
